Bio note

Susana Batista, who has a PhD in Sociology, is an Assistant Professor at NOVA FCSH, where she coordinates the Master's in Education Studies, and a researcher at CICS.NOVA. She has participated in several action-research projects in the field of education, developing statistical indicators, models, manuals, diagnoses, monitoring and evaluation of projects and teacher training actions. These include the ESCXEL Project - Network of Schools of Excellence and Atlas - Social and Local Contexts of Success and Failure, as well as consultancy work for local councils and the Madeira Regional Department of Education, especially in the area of project planning, monitoring and evaluation. She has been a member of the Portuguese team of the EU Kids Online network since 2017, resident author of the resource platform on contexts, competences and digital rights of children and adolescents (Cria.On) and has participated in other European research projects on young people and media, such as ySkills (2020-2023, H2020).
