Bio note
Sandra Saúde holds a PhD in Sociology, specialising in Development Sociology. She is a coordinating professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Beja (IPBeja) and a researcher at CICS.NOVA - Interdisciplinary Centre for Social Sciences and the Territorial Animation Laboratory/IPBeja. She has collaborated on and coordinated several projects co-financed by European Union funds and two by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Among her current areas of scientific interest, with articles and books already published, the following stand out: education and development, social intervention with socially excluded populations, participatory methodologies for community/organisational planning, and social research methods and techniques.
