Bio note
Joana Videira holds a PhD in Literary Studies, Literary Theory, and Comparative Literature and a master's degree in Linguistic, Literary, and Cultural Studies from the University of Barcelona. Her doctoral thesis won the extraordinary doctoral award and investigated the construction, representation, and power of affections and violence in the female body. She is currently conducting her postdoctoral research on Geographies of Love in Literature, supervised by Professor Eduarda Ferreira and co-supervised by Professor Adriana Bebiano (University of Coimbra), at CICS.NOVA.
