Bio note
Isabel Ribau Coutinho has a degree in Chemistry, a specialisation in Science Didactics, a master's degree in Drug Technologies, Bioorganic Chemistry and in Teaching Chemistry and Physics, and a PhD in Chemistry and Educational Sciences. Since 2019 she has been a researcher at CICS. NOVA, where she carries out research in the area of Doctoral Education, and in the area of Teaching and Learning in Chemistry and Physics. In this context, she has presented her research at national international conferences and published in international journals. She has also been a trainer of primary and secondary school teachers since 1999 (CCPFC/RFO-08838/99), and is currently a chemistry and physics teacher in primary and secondary schools. Since 2020, she has organised national congresses (as vice-president and president of the Chemistry Teaching and Dissemination Section of the Portuguese Chemistry Society) and international congresses (ECRICE24), and is a member of the scientific committees of international research congresses (ECRICE 24 and Eurovarieties 2025).
