Bio note

Iris Barbosa holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Minho (1999), where she began her career as a trainee lecturer at the School of Economics, Management and Political Science in 2000. She holds a master's degree in Human Resource Management and a PhD in Business Sciences, also from the University of Minho. She has served as Erasmus Coordinator and Director of the Bachelor's Degree in Management. She has published articles in scientific journals such as Education + Training, Organisational Dynamics, Journal of Management Development, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and Gender in Management, as well as several chapters in international books. Her research focuses on equal opportunities and discrimination based on gender and nationality, work-life balance and the management of transversal skills. In this context, she was part of the research team for the project ‘S4F – Future Skills? The value and effectiveness of skills-based higher education’, funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology.
