Bio note

Helena Rocha is a lecturer at the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade Nova de Lisboa and holds a PhD in Education. Her research focuses on teachers' professional knowledge and development, with special emphasis on the integration of technology in teaching. In this field she has developed innovative theoretical conceptualisations, such as the ‘Global Model’, which aims to integrate different models of professional knowledge, and the KTMT model, which focuses on professional knowledge and practice. She is the author of several national and international publications and maintains an intense editorial activity, being a member of the editorial board of renowned scientific journals and Associate Director of Quadrante magazine. She supervises several master's and doctoral students and leads the TecTeachers group, which regularly organises international online seminars open to anyone interested. She is also involved in various research projects (as principal investigator and as a team member), with her current interest in the application of Artificial Intelligence in Education and in teacher professional development in digital contexts standing out.
