Bio note

Francesca Poggi is an architect and urban planner with a PhD in Geography and Territorial Planning. Her interdisciplinary research focuses on climate change adaptation and sustainable development, linking public policy, spatial planning and urban planning. She is currently the principal investigator for the European Horizon Europe projects MOSAIC and SMARTER, which promote integrated approaches to strengthening climate resilience in urban and rural areas. Her work focuses on the application of innovative methodologies that combine adaptive planning, future scenario development, GIS, participatory processes and digital decision support tools. She is the author of two books and several scientific publications, and also collaborates as a guest editor for international journals. Her research promotes action-oriented science, with practical contributions to territorial and urban planning.
