Bio note
Visiting assistant professor in the Department of Sociology at NOVA.FCSH and researcher at CICS.NOVA. Bachelor's and Master's degree in Sociology from NOVA.FCSH, and PhD in Sociology from the inter-university programme Opensoc, coordinated by several institutions at the universities of Lisbon (ICS, ISCSP, ISEG), NOVA (FCSH), Évora (IIFA) and Algarve (FE). His specialities are Sociology of Work, Sociology of Education and Sociology of Knowledge, and he is well versed in both quantitative and qualitative research methods. He also teaches theoretical and methodological subjects, particularly in undergraduate courses. In the case of Sociology of Work, his research focuses particularly on the professional integration of recent higher education graduates; in the field of Education, he deals mainly with social inequalities in the school context; and in the field of Knowledge, he is mainly dedicated to the study of (prevention of) fraud in the academic context. In all of these areas and topics, he has been involved in qualitative and quantitative research and has several national and international publications to his name.
