Bio note
PhD in Educational Sciences, specialising in Communication. Professor at the School of Education and Social Sciences of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, integrated researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Social Sciences of the New University of Lisbon, collaborates as a foreign researcher in the Research Group: Occupational Therapy and Assistive Technology in different contexts of the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). Guest lecturer at the Cultural Diversity and Social Inclusion Programme - FEEVALE University - Brazil and at the University of Cape Verde (UNICV) as part of the Special Education master's degree. Coordinator of the Resource Centre for Digital Inclusion at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, the Thousand Toys Thousand Smiles Project and the Shared Inclusive Reading Project (PLIP) and the Master's Degree in Special Education at the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria. She is the author and co-author of various national and international publications in the areas of assistive technologies, communication and accessible literature, inclusive education and cultural accessibility. As a hobby, she writes children's stories and has already published 10 works.
