Current professional situation:

Helena Serra is Associated Professor of Sociology at NOVA School of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. She has published on healthcare research, organisations and professions and given several keynote presentations at international conferences. She was member of the ESA (European Sociological Association) Executive Committee until August 2017 and is President of the ISA RC52 ‘Sociology of Professional Groups’.

Current interests of investigation:

Health Policy. Medical Sociology. Sociology of Professions. Sociology of Organisations. Qualitative Research.
