Teresa Santos is a researcher at CICS.NOVA, Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences of the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Portugal. She has a MSc in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and a PhD in Geography and land Planning. Her academic path has been focused on using geographic modelling to produce relevant information to support urban planners and decision makers, based on data retrieved from Remote Sensing - VHR imagery and LiDAR data, Volunteered Geographic Information (VGI), planimetry, etc. The leading goal underpinning this path was to develop indicators to inform, monitor and evaluate smart, efficient and green urban sustainable solutions towards high-quality living cities.
