Ana Ferreira is an assistant researcher at CICS.NOVA, working on social studies of science and innovation. Currently, her research is focused on understanding how modifications in science’s organization (increasingly relying on non-permanent labour and management), practices (application-driven) and epistemic culture (performance-oriented) are translated in scientific knowledge production. She has participated and coordinated research projects and is the author of several journal articles and book chapters including the paper Profiles of malaria research in Portugal: organizing, doing and thinking in science under capitalism, published in 2019 by the journal Science and Technology Studies. She is a board member of the Portuguese Association of Sociology and CICS.NOVA, being the current coordinator of the research group “Citizenship, work and technology”.
