Ana Ferreira é investigadora auxiliar no CICS.NOVA, onde desenvolve investigação em sociologia da ciência e sociologia da inovação. O seu trabalho tem por objectivo compreender de que forma transformações nas organizações científicas (crescentemente replicando modelos empresariais e dependentes de trabalho precário), nas práticas científicas (enquadradas em projectos de curta duração e orientadas para uma aplicação do conhecimento) e cultura epistémica (que articula uma cultura meritocrática com a retórica da auto-realização) se traduzem, por um lado, na produção de conhecimento científico, e por outro, nas trajectórias académicas e nas trajectórias de vida de investigadores.
