Laura Almodovar (Lisbon, 26th May 1993) graduated in Anthropology at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NOVA FCSH, 2015). She was a research grantee at CRIA for the project “Fora do Padrão – Lembranças da Exposição de 1940”. In 2018 she finished the master’s course "Migrations, Inter-Ethnicities and Transnationalism" at NOVA FCSH, with the dissertation «"Em África, todos são Mamadou - é o nome do profeta em africano". Pertenças múltiplas numa associação islâmica da linha de Sintra», supervised by PhD José Mapril. Currently, she is part of the project FCT "LISBONDS - Neighbouring Practices, Meanings and Contexts in Greater Lisbon" ated by PhD João Pedro Nunes.
