Tânia Santos holds a PhD in Financial Economics and Accounting from the University of Extremadura, presenting the thesis "Financial Solvency of the Pension Systems of the European Union" and a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Coimbra, presenting the thesis "Regional Disparities in Employment and Unemployment in Portugal". She is a researcher at the Interdisciplinary Center of Social Sciences of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (CICS.NOVA). The researcher has been integrating research teams as well as authoring publications in several thematic areas, namely: pension systems, entrepreneurship, social economy and education/financial literacy.
