Dalila Cerejo (PhD in Sociology) is an integrated researcher at CICS.NOVA and the National Observatory on Violence and Gender at the Nova School of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NOVA FCSH). She is also Invited Assistant Professor at NOVA FCSH. She is currently developing her postdoctoral research. In the last 15 years, her professional career has been marked by research in the area of gender violence in Portugal namely domestic violence, intimate partner violence and female genital mutilation. She studies gender based violence from a sociology of emotions perspective.

Gender based violence. Domestic violence (victims and abusers). Sociology of emotions. Theories of Social Action.
