António Abrantes is currently professor in Health School and in the Faculty of Economics of Algarve University. He is an integrated researcher in the (CICS.NOVA-U.Évora). Is a member of the board of the Observatory of Technology Evaluation (CICS.NOVA FCT-UNL). He has a PhD and an MsC Sociology and holds a degree in Radiology. He also has a post-graduation in Management of Healthcare Departments. He develops research mainly in the Professions Sociology and Healthcare Sociology, Professional Autonomy and in Healthcare Communication. He is author of several peer reviewed papers and book chapters, with national and international publication. He is also a reviewer in several scientific organizations and scientific publications.
